A gift from southern Spain . . where the desert meets the sea
These small Spanish bowls are decorated in the patterns and colours typical to the town of Nijar in south east Spain, close to the Mediterranean sea . . and Europe's only desert. Every bowl is individually hand-painted in the traditional blue colour of Nijar, plus green, brown and ochre. So when you order one it will be SIMILAR to the designs shown here although maybe not identical. They are made from the local clay of the area and have a lovely rustic quality.
Detail: The bowl measures 10.5cms (4") in diameter and 4cms high. Because it is handmade, the pattern may vary, and no two bowls are absolutely identical. Suitable for any occasion but would make perfect tapas bowls.
