Red jasper has been used as a so-called stone of protection for thousands of years. The gem was a favourite in the ancient world, and and can be traced back to Greek, Hebrew, Persian, Latin, and Assyrian literature. Jasper is said to protect against evil spirits and forces, and is also believed to bring courage and relief from pain. It supposedly gives you the courage to speak out and the bravery to achieve personal independence. It also is said to promote physical stamina and to send negative energy back to the sender, the way a mirror reflects light.

A gift of red jasper jewellery like a bracelet or necklace, can pass on your good luck wishes for many occurrences but especially for someone travelling on a journey (moving abroad, for example), a relative about to go to hospital for an operation, a friend about to do their driving test or have an interview, or even as a good luck gift for a work colleague’s first day in a new position (or a child’s 1st day at school, for example): Man or woman, boy or girl – whether that person is your girlfriend or boyfriend, fiance, mother or father, brother or sister – it makes no difference, red jasper jewellery is a great good luck gift. Red Jasper was used by Native American warriors to prepare for conflict by providing energy and courage.

As mentioned, Red Jasper is especially suitable as a gift for those Travelling on a Journey / Trip because it is supposed to offer safety and protection to the wearer. But it is also good for an Interview, a trip to the Hospital or a 1st Day at School because these are special events that need an element of guardianship and protection that the Red Jasper gemstone is thought to offer. Help boost a friend or loved-one’s confidence with a gift of Red Jasper.

A gold necklace symbolic of luck and protection

This classic-style Indalo Man necklace features the lucky Indalo, known around the world but especially in southern Spain, as a symbol of protection and good fortune. People who are lucky think positively, look for opportunities and are always open to possibilities.

Inspire your friends to be lucky and positive by sending this symbolic piece of jewellery. It makes an ideal gift for a special event or occasion and shows someone you really care.

Dimensions: The Indalo pendant is Gold-Filled and measures 27mm long including the hanging bail. (Height from top of arch to bottom of legs is 21mm x 14mm wide). It hangs on a 16" 14ct Gold-Filled fine trace chain. (Chapado de oro.) An 18" chain is also available: Please choose in Options Box

Is Gold-Filled the same as Gold-Plated / Vermeil?
No, it is much better: Gold-Filled is a layer of solid gold, pressure-bonded into another metal (in our case 925 sterling silver). Whereas Gold-Plating is a very thin layer of gold that is 'plated' onto the surface of a variety of other metals. (Vermeil just means that the plated item is made of silver: Nothing more; it is still just Gold-Plated.) So, Gold-Filled has a much higher value than simple Gold-Plating or Vermeil because it contains a much greater quantity of gold; and is of higher quality because of the way that gold is included: Once termed “Rolled-Gold” it has a long history - although the modern process wasn't patented until Victorian times in England. It is much more precious and tarnish-resistant than Gold-Plated / Vermeil: It does not rub off or flake or change colour. No es baño de oro, sino chapado oro: El chapado que llevan las piezas es de 2,5 micras, lo que equivale a un chapado oro de 23 kilates.

Everyone needs a guiding spirit to help them through life's challenges. Let this lucky gold Indalo be it. Comes gift-wrapped, like all our presents (with an information card about the Indalo) - and we can print a personal message on your behalf.
