These sweet little four-leaf clover stud earrings make a charming jewellery gift with meaning. Four-leafed clovers are considered a symbol of good luck, said to protect against evil spirits and ward off misfortune and bad luck.

It is widely believed that the clover symbol pre-dates Christianity, going back to a time when clovers were used as Celtic charms - allegedly protecting against evil spirits and warding off ill fate. This belief was carried forward into the Christian faith, particularly in Ireland, with the four leaves symbolising hope, faith, love, and luck. This is because the Shamrock (or 3-leaf clover) represented the Holy Trinity: one leaf for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Spirit.
