Turtles, which belong to the Testudine family of reptiles are considered auspicious creatures indeed: Apart from symbolising strength, longevity and hope, they are also thought to be very lucky. They are symbolic of a steadfast tranquility - safe in the knowledge that they can survive until better times arrive.

So this Turtle necklace would make a truly unique gift as a Retirement present or for any occasion that requires a measure of tranquility - like passing an Exam or Driving Test for example, or starting something new like a New Job (or any First Day) or a new start at University. ( Or even a present for a person that just loves turtles or tortoises! ) It is bound to attract admiring comments.
